Please don’t manually add the category for deceased characters. Just add the death issue to the template like normal. The template is set to not display that category for a set period of time so editors and others aren’t spoiled on a character’s death while scrolling through the recent edits.
Just for clarification: this is for WikiActivity (RWA), not Recent Changes (RC), which lists newly added categories, including those through templates. For a lot of casual users, RWA is the landing page.
Just so you know, I recently unprotected DC Database:ComicList, because we kept forgetting to update it. If you want to, you can edit it. Otherwise, one of the admins won't remember or have the time until the weekend...
Alright, i trust your word but could you upload a picture of his profile page? I love encyclopedias and handbooks like these but i can't find the Batman Character Encyclopedia on any comic streams online. I've only found the likes of the most popular characters when i googled it.
I saw that you've done a lot of great work regarding the Batman Character Encyclopedia. I have to assume you have access to it then. I was hoping you might be able to help me identify a character that has since been unnamed.
The gold guy in the back corner, between Mister Toxic and Hypnotic. He's appeared a bunch of times as one of Penguin's lieutenants, but no body ever refers to him by name. My fingers are crossed that he's in the encyclopedia.
I just checked the Batman Character Encyclopedia and the new DC Comics Encyclopedia, and unfortunately I couldn't find him. He is seen in the main picture on Imperceptible Man's page in the BCE, but no name is given. I'll definitely keep looking, though.
I didn't go through the proper sourcing procedures for this, but this is from the group shot in Detective Comics Vol 2 7. There's also another villain who just randomly appears in place of Imperceptible Man for like two seconds, but I'm way more concerned with this guy just because of how much he pops up without a name.
It's funny, in Batman Eternal #3, Penguin literally refers to every single one of his lieutenants by name except for this guy. Like, he just answered this guy's question and then went back to ignoring him.
Nope. He just gets whooped around by Batman in that one issue, then continues to pop up at the meetings whenever the Lieutenants appear.
He'll speak every once in awhile, but I can't even confirm if he has his own gang like the others because Penguin literally omitted him when telling everybody to "ready your gangs" for the fight with Falcone.
I'm assuming the name would be used to create an article, but in case the authors happen to know this guy's identity, do we want a page for him? No info has been officially printed on him and I wouldn't like to cite twitter as a source.
In the character data information, it mentions the initial debut and then the "Current Version" for Post-Flashpoint incarnations. The images and character histories are then for Post-Flashpoint versions, though for larger character entries, they do delve into Pre-Flashpoint history in separate sections labeled "On the Record" and "Classic Stories."
For Wallace R. West (Prime Earth), the real name is listed as Wallace Rudolph West. Wally West (New Earth) doesn't have a separate entry, but is mentioned in several others. On Barry Allen (Prime Earth)'s page, for instance, there's a Rebirth blurb: "When Barry Allen rescued his original speedster protégé Wally West from other-dimensional oblivion, he sensed that some being or force had deliberately caused drastic changes in the universe over the course of the previous decade."
You're doing a great job creating new issues every week but I have one request. If you aren't uploading the covers, would you leave that spot blank on the comic page? It doesn't get added to the category for missing images otherwise and we might not catch them all. Otherwise, great work.
