• Those categories (and several others) show up because of a cache bug with dynamic categories. I’ve had it ticketed since forever, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be fixed before the UCP upgrade.

• For dressed covers, the source info goes under Source, not Issue.

• Gentle reminder: the page is at Paris, France, not Paris.

      Loading editor
• I'm using an LG WebOS TV to access the site. As of recently when adding {{ or [[ it no longer autofills what you are typing. I have to type the full information for both {{ and [[. If the autofill worked as it previously had for me it would've shown the option for Paris, France.

Also, when making a mistake like adding Paris instead of Paris, France where does it show up to see that the wrong information was added? Such as General or Comic Tasks, Appearance Brackets Missing or Quotes Page needed etc...

On a side note has Wikipedia and DC links been removed too?

        Loading editor
• It shows up in Special:WantedCategories.

Yes, the DC and WP links were removed. It should be set to none to 90% of pages, so it's not really helpful.

• Dressed covers do not get image subjects, to avoid flooding the image categories.

      Loading editor
• Ok.

Any reason why the cover image of The Atom Vol 1 11 is not showing up in the January 1964 (Publication) and the March 1964 image galleries? Young Romance Vol 1 128 looks odd too.

        Loading editor
• When I moved Atom Vol 1 to The Atom Vol 1, I also updated the images. But it appears that on #11, the image was added with underscores, which made the bot miss it. The image template has an override, so that when an image with the pagename exists, it displays that. But the month category fetches the input in the template parameter - in this case, a non-existent image.

Young Romance looked weird because if one image in a gallery is broken, it messes up the ratio a couple images down the line.

• Why do you make edits like this which include inserting spaces before asterisks? Is this actually changing something?

      Loading editor
• Actually I'm fixng your constant errors you are causing.

When you add a character, location, item or vehicle that has an appearance in an issue you must use [ [ & ] ]! { { A | [ [ character, location, item or vehicle ] ] } } Type in the search box Category:Appearance Template Brackets Needed to see all your errors.

• Yeah, those brackets actually are not needed--the template works just fine without them.

I am not asking about the brackets--I am asking about the spacing. Does that serve some purpose?

• Off hand? It makes reading the coding easier.

Also, since they are fixing your deliberate choice to ignore how A is supposed to be formatted, yes I have seen you argument with an Admin on it, they can also tweak the coding format if need be without issue.

• Hm. Funny you say that, because I think it's the opposite. Interesting to get someone's feedback. RPP, can you comment?

• The category you've been adding to the Fourth World books is meant for characters, not titles.

• I haven't really been keeping track of your edits, but there's no need to link to DCUguide. They're sort of our competition, you know...

      Loading editor
• Sorry I didn't know.

I've seen their links on various other characters and the links were old and didn't link to a character but to DCU's main page and were in need of an update.

I've also seen webpage links for Green Lantern and Flash characters are these links competitors too?

How about Comicvine and Comicbookdb? I came across their links too from time to time.

        Loading editor
• Yeah, I've been meaning to clean up external links, but without a good bot script, it's going to have to happen manually.

Basically, they're a relic of the early days, when content was largely copied from other places to serve as padding. That's why the links are old - nobody cared enough to updated.

ComicVine should also be removed/not be added. Comicbookdb and comics.org are a bit different, as those are primarily indexing sites and do not have character profiles.

Those Who Ride The Lightning and Titans Tower are early, pre-Wikia, sites that the early editors liked. There isn't really a concensus on what to do with them. They're still good in terms of content, and I don't know what other admins think of them.

        Loading editor
• Comicbookdb does have character page profiles too but looks to be a basic profile.

A few of the DCU guide links were linked to volumes/series. Add/Keep/Delete?

This is an updated site from the broken Supermanica page. http://supermanica.superman.nu/index.php/Main_Page Is this site still valid for links? Add/Keep/Delete?

Mikes Amazing DC Comics Add/Keep/Delete?

Cosmic Teams Add/Keep/Delete?

TV Tropes? Add/Keep/Delete?

The Templates > See Also Template > Template:_______Links each contain a variety of links mentioned above and other links. Plus, Wikipedia links to the same page that is already linked through the (| Wikipedia = _________) i.e. doubles.

Even after I type this I'll probably recall other links that are Go/No Go links.

        Loading editor
• I removed a lot of links already with Special:LinkSearch.

Most of these sites were just added in the early days. As far as I'm concerned, they can all go, but I don't know if other admins agree.

• I don't know if we need character pages for Earth-423 or not but we probably shouldn't be linking to disambig pages either way.

• Hi, and thank you for adding appearances. A couple of notes, though:

• Appearances need to be pipe-linked to create a cleaner look. So instead of Perry White (Earth-One), write Perry White
• The appearance needs to link to the right place. There's no place called "WGBS Studios" - that's Galaxy Communications.
• Not everyone has a page. We won't have pages for characters like Mrs. Goldstein, and currently don't have any for the Marigold Twins.
