Metal Men #15 is an issue of the series Metal Men (Volume 1) with a cover date of September, 1965.
Synopsis for "The Revenge of the Rebel Robot"
The Metal Men are sitting in their huge laboratory complex reading fan mail. The letters are suggesting names for the lady robot that was made by Tin from a do it yourself kit. Mercury sarcastically suggests that the new robot be called “Nameless” to avoid wasting time on the matter. This sparks a strong reaction from Platinum who thinks that Mercury is acting like a jerk. The Metal Men then see a letter addressed to Doc Magnus. It has no name or return address so the robots assume it's from one of Doc's lady friends. The letter turns out to be a death threat from someone who signed it as BOLTS. Tina comes over and notices that the letter is smoking. The Metal Men jump into action to protect Doc as the letter explodes and Tina takes the worst of the brunt. Doc gently takes her to the lab where she is bathed in spectrum rays and she makes a full recovery. The Metal Men vow to fight BOLTS and they declare that they will call themselves NUTS. Doc then receives another letter. This time it's an invitation from the Mechanical Men Inventors Association. They invite Doc to an exhibition on how to make robots behave. The Metal Men smell a trap but Doc is determined to attend the exhibition alone. He attends the exhibition that evening but he is then abducted by a group of robots that have gone out of control. He is then brought before a giant robot who declares that he is the head of BOLTS. The giant robot is determined to destroy democracies in the name of his Iron Curtain masters. The Metal Men soon arrive to rescue Doc but their vehicle is immediately shot down by the giant robot. They bravely fight the giant robot and successfully rescue Doc. Later on that night, Doc goes out on a date with a lady friend but he is abducted by the giant robot once again. This time Doc manages to send out a signal to the Metal Men so they can locate him. The Robots set out to rescue Doc once again and they instruct Nameless to remain behind to avoid danger. Nameless is disappointed but decides to secretly follow the Metal Men to see them in action. The Metal Men put up a brave fight against the giant but they get pummeled. They are then placed on a conveyor belt where it looks like they will be crushed by a stamping press. In the meantime, Nameless arrives on the scene and she is spotted by the giant robot. The giant falls madly in love with Nameless and chases her through a refrigeration cart. Nameless then leads the giant to a huge electrified fence where the robot absorbs a high voltage due to its refrigerated temperature. The giant robot is destroyed and Nameless successfully stops the conveyor belt and avoids the destruction of the Metal Men.
