Michael Morice was the Beefeater, an inept but enthusiastic British superhero.
History
The Beefeater fought with General Glory against German forces in World War II, but despite his years of experience was denied membership in the Justice League when his incompetence with his power rod led to the destruction of their Paris embassy.[1]
He became the warden of Basement 101, Britain's most secure super villain holding facility, where he had a perfect record of never letting a prisoner escape until Joker Incorporated broke out Dai Laffyn. Beefeater's nephew was being trained to take over his uncle's role but was killed by Joker Venom during the escape.[2]
Seeking redemption for his past failures, he found work at former Justice Leaguers Fire and Ice's hair salon The Big Tease in Smallville, Kansas. He was tasked by Ice with separating his quarrelling coworkers Miss Congeniality and Lot's Wife, but once he was alone with the latter, she killed and ate him[1] under the influence of the cannibalism-inducing monster Crave.[3]
