Mick Rory, better known as Heatwave, is a fire-shooting criminal from Central City, making him a recurring foe of the Flash Family. He has been a member of groups like the Rogues and the Suicide Squad.
History
At a young age, Rory developed a fascination and obsession with fire and accidentally set his house on fire, which led to his parents being killed. He was incarcerated and eventually started a criminal career, joining the Rogues with his friend Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. As they were committing crimes in Central City, it was inevitable that they would run into the superhero known as the Flash.[1]
During the New 52, Rory has gained metahuman abilities due to being caught in the blast that also gave the other Rogues their meta-powers. Since then, his DNA was merged with his flamethrower and he became able to shoot fire from his chest.[2]
