History
Earth-Two
In 1943, Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy took on the Mail-Order Mob in Mid City.
In 1948, Johnny Quick used his superspeed, and accidentally propelled himself into Mid City in the year 2048.
Earth-One
In 1959, Roy Raymond encountered "D'Lor the Mercurian," who was actually not an alien at all, but rather a criminal disguised as a Mercurian.
Super Friends
In 1977, the alien Mongor shrank Mid City and placed it into a bottle, similar to the way that Brainiac shrank the city of Kandor and done the same thing to it.
The Superfriends find a way to reverse what happened to Mid City and defeat Mongor's evil plans.
