Mister Miracle (Volume 2) #10 is an issue of the series Mister Miracle (Volume 2) with a cover date of November, 1989.

Synopsis for "This Town Isn't Big Enough for Both of Us!"

The news of Mister "Miraculous" saving the day at the bank on fire goes public on Bailey, and Scott thinks it's time to move to another city to avoid being in the public eye again. But Oberon, Barda, and Ted convince him to cool off and stay at Bailey, keeping a low profile and maintaining his secret identity. Another person not happy about the news is Henry Hayes, who lost his opportunity to start his career as the superhero Maxi-Man thanks to Mister Miracle's intrusion.

During his shift as pizza delivery man, Henry witness a mugging and decides to step in, only to be mistaken with another thief. Again, Mister Miracle arrives at the scene and stops the real thief, and then convinced the police that Maxi-Man was only helping. Both the police man and Mister Miracle warn Maxi-Man that being a superhero is dangerous work, but this situation only fuels his anger against Mister Miracle.

Later on that same day, Maxi-Man gets another chance to be a superhero, and this time he arrives before Mister Miracle. He saves a woman and her child that suffered a car crash with an oil truck. He rushes to the scene and he helps the firemen take the endangered citizens out of the car. Mister Miracle arrives at the scene and sees this new hero has everything under control, but Maxi-Man's strength runs out and he drops the tank, making it blow up. Mister Miracle asks him if he's alright, but Maxi-Man thinks he came to steal his glory again, so he punches Scott. The situation escalates to a fight that will determine which hero stays in town, and Mister Miracle has the upper hand, ridiculing the novice superhero in front of the camera. The fight is suddenly stopped by the woman Maxi-Man saved from the car crash, and her words make him realize he is a bad superhero, so he walks back home to cool off, with Mister Miracle encouraging him to not give up on his superhero dream and wishing him luck.

The following morning, Henry leaves Bailey and buys a bus ticket to Muscatine, hoping to find his place as superhero there.
