Synopsis for "Doctor's Orders"

Doctor Bedlam's minions kidnap Mister Miracle. Through a telepathic projection, Bedlam explains he plans to turn every inhabitant in Bailey into animals, in retaliation of the embarrassment Scott and his Justice League friends caused to Granny Goodness in Apokolips.[1]

Meanwhile, the real Bedlam is having dinner with Barda and Oberon at the Ferbels's house, posing as an old friend of Scott sent by Barda's Granny. Barda can't take any more of his farse and breaks the dining table in a burst of anger. The Ferbels, however, are oblivious of what's really going on in front of them. Suddenly, the Ferbels, Oberon, and the rest of the neighborhood start turning into animals. Barda smashed Bedlam's robotic body, but his energy form escapes from the scene. Outside of the house, Barda runs from the wild animals in the neighborhood.

Mister Miracle manages to escape from Bedlam's trap by concentrating his emotions and overloading his bonds. Scott flies to Bailey and finds the streets flooding with wild animals. He rescues Barda and Oberon, who turned into a puppy, and takes them to safety. Using his Mother Box, Scott flies across the town and puts every animal to sleep. While they ponder how they will turn every person back to normal, a blinding light appears and cures everyone, returning them to their homes and erasing every memory of this night. From the light emerges Highfather, and Barda complains with Scott about why he didn't tell her his father was coming to visit.
