Mister Mxyzptlk was an imp who used his abilities to terrorize Metropolis and battle Superman.

History

Imp-Possible

When Bat-Mite gave Superman's powers to Batman, Mister Mxyzptlk travelled to Earth to confront him. Annoyed by Bat-Mite's hero worship of Batman, Mxyzptlk set out to prove that Batman was a worthless hero. He manifested a dragon, jellyfish on bicycles, and an alien invasion. Realizing even Batman can't needs help sometimes, Bat-Mite altered reality so that the Super Friends were members of the Batman Family. As they defeated Mxyzptlk's creations, Bat-Mite was able to trick an outraged Mxyzptlk into saying his name backwards, exiling him for ninety days. Learning a lesson about teams, Bat-Mite gathered the other imps of the Fifth Dimension and planned a team-up.

Con Games

That later came in the form of them crashing Super-Con, a comic book convention. Mxyzptlk tricked his fellow imps into causing mayhem across the convention. When Mopee gave the attendees superpowers, Mister Mxyzptlk realized how dangerous he had made the situation and willing said his name backwards.
