The origin and aspects of the history of Mxyzptlk from the Superman Returns video game may be similar to those of his then-mainstream counterpart.
He appears as a narrator to the minigames menu.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the film Superman Returns and is an adaptation of Mister Mxyztplk. The original character was created by Jerry Siegel and Ira Yarbrough and first appeared in Superman #30.
