Synopsis for "Petty Magicks"

Jack Kellor goes into town where he meets up with an ex-girlfriend, Ella. Jack accompanies her on several shakedowns, including muscling a mall shop-owner named Tristan. Later, they retire at Ella's apartment to make love. Jack tells her his plans to destroy the family business.

He returns to the mansion and consults with Floyd concerning an incoming cocaine shipment. Floyd pledges his loyalty in helping Jack destroy the family empire. His drug-addled sister, Sarah, overhears the conversation and enters the office. She begins begging Jack for drugs.

Jack summons the Bocor and instructs him to free Sarah of her addiction. The Bocor discovers that her mental instability is derived not from her drug habits, but from a psychic agent of the Pucciano family. The Bocor casts a spell that breaks the link and kills the rival gang member.

Following the incident, Jack gets into an argument with the Bocor. He feels that the Bocor is not behaving to his liking and orders him to get his act together. The Bocor silently smiles at him.
