- This story is the fifteenth appearance of the team's North American F-86 Sabrejets, and so far no character and no caption has mentioned the change, or called the new aircraft anything more specific than "Blackhawk Planes."
- These planes have got robot controls that enable a single pilot (Chop Chop) to land the other planes by remote control.
- In an unrecorded earlier adventure, the Blackhawks visited Lokaria during World War II.
