Mogo was a sentient planet who served as a Green Lantern. His job was to direct Green Lantern power rings to new users, but when he was killed by Brainiac, the Rings fell to Earth.

History

After humanity embraced Doom and killed Earth's superheroes, including its native Green Lanterns, Mogo was tasked with finding new users for the rings. However, he was killed by Brainiac, who "leeched" him. After his death, the rings fell to Earth, where greedy humans picked them up. Since they lacked proper willpower, the constructs were monstrous giant infants who dragged their wielders around the wasteland.
