The Molder was an enemy of Batman and Plastic Man.

History

Molder was once a plastics research expert, who suffered a terrible lab accident and turned to crime afterwards. Developing special weaponry based on the plastic principle, Molder started a crime spree in Gotham City as part of his ultimate goal to upset the established order and create a "Plastic Age" that would consume the city. The local hero, Batman was not a worthy opponent of the Molder, but when Batman teamed-up with Plastic Man, they worked together to stop the criminal and put and end to his mad plans.

• This version of the Molder, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
• Ralph Dibny used the name Molder when he briefly became a super-villain while under the influence of gingold that had been contaminated by Flash's super speed.
