Molly Mayne was Harlequin, Green Lantern's nemesis during the Golden Age.
History
Molly and Alan Scott were married during a period when she was reformed and Alan convinced himself he was heterosexual and his attraction to Vladimir Sokov was due to the entanglement between the Starheart and Crimson Flame. Although they were sexually incompatible, Alan claims that he loved Molly "with all [his] mind". They later divorced, for obvious reasons.
At some point, Molly had a son named Michael. She has never revealed the identity of his father. Molly sent Michael to be raised by her mother, and only saw him sporadically throughout his childhood, as such their relationship was strained. When Michael decided to become a vigilante after being the victim of a homophobic hate crime, she reluctantly taught him to fight.
