Moonwalker is Dawnstar's mother.
History
She and her family are descended from Amerinds who colonized the planet Starhaven. The women in her family had a long tradition of exploring the universe in something called the Grand Tour which generally ended with the women meeting their future husbands.
Moonwalker's daughter Dawnstar possesses a unique tracking ability that allows her to track anything in space. Moonwalker and her husband Mist-Rider were able to build a thriving business around their daughter's ability to guide ships through dangerous areas of space.
