Amid the Blitzkriegs of 1939, Bulgonia invaded Moravia. Two U.S. Naval Intelligence agents were placed as military attaches at the U.S. Embassy in Edlam, Moravia. While en route from the U.S. to Moravia, and again after their arrival, Lt. Neal and Ens. Potts engaged in a battle of wits with a team of Bulgonian secret agents.[1]

Quality Universe

Moravia is an independent country, at least during World War II. Details about its independence are unknown. In the 1930s, amid the run-up to the Second World War, as conducted in the Quality Universe, neutral countries included Andorra, Argentina, Cerania, Herma, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Moravia, Portugal, Quanalla, Ruina, San Marino, San Miguel, Slovia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Yadovnia, and others.

In 1939 a civil war broke out in the little kingdom of Moravia, which at that time was still a traditional monarchy. An American reporter, Chic Carter, got embroiled in an abduction of the king's daughter, as plotted by the king's cousin. The cousin got killed in a swordfight with the reporter, and a large number of arrests were made. According to the king, all of this had been a plot, by the unnamed rulers of his unnamed neighboring nation, to install Duke Boris as a puppet, and rule Moravia from behind the scenes.[2]
