Synopsis for Doctor Fate: "The Battle Against Time"
Inza visits a friend in prison and learns that the man is innocent, although he has been framed for murder. As the man is bound to be executed at midnight, Inza contacts Doctor Fate to help her find the guilty person, and save her friend.
Fate first interrogates Inza's friend and learns that the criminal behind the murder and the set up is The Dude, the leader of a criminal gang who runs a small time protection racket. The evidence from the case shows that Dude killed an enemy thug, but somehow he is not responsible for the killing. From his investigation, Doctor Fate learns that Dude had one of his henchmen pull the trigger and later, he placed the murder weapon near Inza's friend, who happened to be at Dude's place. With this newfound evidence, Doctor Fate takes the criminals to the authorities, saving Inza's friend in the last minute.
