Synopsis for Doctor Fate: "The Octopus"
A criminal known as the Octopus comes up with an idea to create a "carnival of crime", in which his thugs would lure wealthy people into an apparently harmless carnival, where they would be robbed by the criminals. Unfortunately, one of Octopus' victims is none other than Kent Nelson, who is forced to transform into Doctor Fate to stop the criminals, starting with the small time henchmen until the final confrontation with Octopus himself. Although Fate is almost defeated due to his weakness to gas and lack of air, he eventually overcomes the obstacles and stops the crooks.
