Synopsis for Doctor Fate: "The Man Who Belittled Fate"
The evil mastermind called Mister Who escapes from prison using his infamous Solution Z, which allows him to modify his size at will. Who is carried away from prison by a bird that perched on his prison cell and he soon joins his former gang.
When Kent Nelson learns of Mister Who's escape, he goes into action as Doctor Fate and with help from his ring, he locates Who. When Fate confronts the thugs, he is attacked and knocked unconscious. Who's henchmen then use the Solution Z on Doctor Fate, reducing him to the size of a thumb and they lock him away while they go on with their criminal activities.
Eventually, Doctor Fate finds a way to escape his prison and he confronts the crooks in his reduced size. Although completely ineffective due to his small size, Doctor Fate becomes an annoyance for Who and his gang and once the effects of the Solution wear off, Fate returns to his normal size and captures the criminals.
