Morgan LeFay was the half-sister and sworn enemy of King Arthur.

Origins

Arthur was conceived when his father, Uther Pendragon, murdered Morgan's father and raped her mother. For this, Morgan hated Arthur from the moment he was born. Morgan dedicated her life to the study of dark magic, which she used to murder Uther; however, Arthur proved to be able to fight off any monster she set on him, while Merlin could counter her magic with his greater power. Knowing she could not defeat Merlin with her own sorcery, which came from his father the Devil, Morgan explored the universe for another source of power. She discovered the planet Chiron on the edges of the Solar System, where she used her power to change the planet's natural climate from an ice world to a desert; and enslaved some of the native people. The aliens had a natural inclination towards magic, but she killed their wizards and forced them to study science instead, so she alone would wield the power of magic. Morgan bathed in a fount of mystic energy which vastly increased her powers, but also gave her a disease that caused her to slowly decay from a spot starting at the small of her back.

Morgan gathered her army of aliens, who by now had advanced to the point of developing interplanetary travel, and lead them back to Earth; both to destroy Arthur and find the Holy Grail which could cure her disease. When they arrived she discovered that it was the year 3000 and Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table had seemingly been dead for thousands of years. Gleefully, she set her army to conquering the world, but Arthur soon returned to oppose her.

Camelot 3000

Morgan made an alliance with the United Nations security director Jordan Matthew, recognising him as the reincarnation of her nephew Modred. She did not restore Matthew's memories of his past life, but offered him greater power if he helped her conquer the world.

Excalibur appeared on the floor of the United Nations Building, and Arthur came to draw it from the stone once again. When he pulled the sword free, it released seven bolts of energy containing the past life memories of those Knights of the Round Table who had also been reincarnated in the future. Morgan tried to block the memories from returning to their hosts, but Merlin realised what she was doing and stopped her. However, Morgan's interference meant that the knights did not simply awaken when the memories reached them and required a trigger to bring their old selves to the surface. Merlin and Arthur quickly tracked down and awoke Guinevere and Lancelot while Morgan watched them from her crystal ball. She saw that Guinevere and Lancelot still loved one another, and realised that the interpersonal conflicts that tore the Knights of the Round Table apart before may do so again. She gleefully watched as Arthur was tormented by Guinevere and Lancelot's romance.

Arthur and the others were able to quickly find and gather the reincarnated knights. Jordan Matthew launched an attach on their base of "New Camelot" using aliens disguised as U.N. soldiers, but Merlin foresaw the attack and warned the knights, allowing them to repel the invaders. Morgan told him that they needed to get rid of Merlin if they were to have a chance of harming Arthur.

Sir Tristan, one of Arthur's knights, had been reincarnated as a woman and despised his new female body. Morgan knew she could exploit this to make him betray Arthur and appeared to Tristan. She told Tristan that, if he betrayed the Round Table, she would transform him back into a man, and demonstrated that she could by briefly doing so. Tristan refused, but Morgan could see that his conviction wavered, and believed that she could convince him to do as she wanted with further temptation. Unbeknownst to anyone else, Tristan's love Isolde had been reincarnated as a woman named "Claire Locklyn", and Morgan possessed her past life memories. Morgan instructed Matthew to hire Claire as his assistant so she could engineer a meeting between Tristan and Isolde.

A few days later, Arthur and Guinevere were married on the floor of the United Nations, and Claire Locklyn was in attendance with Matthew. An assassin named Owen McAllister, who had been engaged to Tristan's female reincarnation "Amber", attempted to kill Arthur on Matthew's orders but missed. Morgan restored Isolde's memories and, dazed and confused, she wandered up to where the knights were fighting McAllister. Tristan was almost killed and, recognising him despite his changed form, Isolde ran up and embraced him. Isolde wanted to resume their relationship but Tristan refused, believing he could not be with Isolde unless he had a man's body. Tristan finally broke and told Morgan that he would betray the Knights of the Round Table if Morgan would transform him back into a man.

Meanwhile, Guinevere and Lancelot once again had an affair, unable to resist one another. Arthur banished them from New Camelot and fell into a deep depression, refusing to rise from his throne for days. Morgan told Tristan to destroy a talisman in Merlin's quarters that prevented a witch called Nyneve, who had imprisoned Merlin beneath Stonehenge centuries ago, from coming near him. Arthur's foster brother Sir Kay overheard them and called to Morgan himself in his mind. She told him the same and Kay destroyed the talisman before Tristan could, believing that seeing Merlin in danger would rouse Arthur from his misery and inspire him to command the knights once more. With the talisman destroyed, Nyneve came to New Camelot and kidnapped Merlin, spiriting him away to Castle LeFay on Chiron.

With Merlin gone, Morgan and Matthew launched a surprise attack on New Camelot as Arthur was about to execute Kay for treason. Morgan directly controlled one of the ships and sent it to shoot Arthur in the back, but Kay and Arthur's squire Tom leapt in front of the blast. Kay was killed instantly and Tom was left grievously injured with radiation poisoning that would kill him within days. Arthur swore that he would find the Holy Grail to save Tom's life and, at those words, Morgan ordered their forces to disengage. Matthew protested but Morgan told him that they would not kill the knights until they had found the Grail, as it was the only thing that could heal her.

Morgan eagerly watched the knights discuss the quest for the Grail, but Arthur had them all don amulets that Merlin had created which blocked her ability to spy on them. She demanded that Matthew use his resources to track the knights and, recognising that she was desperate, agreed only on the condition that she reveal his place in her schemes. Morgan restored his memories of his life as Modred; this made him personally hate Arthur when he had not before, but also made him more confident in his ability to oppose Morgan herself.

Aliens guarding Glastonbury Tor reported to Morgan that a party of the knights had come searching for the Grail. They seemingly disappeared but appeared again bearing the Grail. The aliens attacked the knights and tried to take the Grail, but mysterious figures in an unmarked craft appeared and attacked both sides, killing the aliens and making off with the Grail. The men were revealed to be U.N. soldiers working for Modred who delivered the Grail to him personally. Morgan demanded that he hand it over but Modred refused, saying that he was now the one giving the orders. Morgan had no choice but to obey him, as he now had the upper hand between them.

Modred had the Grail melted down to make a suit of armour which made him effectively immortal when he wore it. Morgan begged Modred to heal her but he refused, recognising that he could only control her while she was weakened by her disease. They killed four major world leaders and framed Arthur for the murders. With the leaders dead, Modred was now the de-facto ruler of Earth. Meanwhile Arthur had stolen the last rocket on Earth and flown to Chiron, and Morgan teleported the two of them there to follow the knights.

A small force of knights lead by Lancelot infiltrated the castle looking for Merlin and the Grail while Arthur lead a frontal assault on the castle. Morgan dispatched all the creature she had created with her power to deal with the intruders, including Owen McAllsiter raised from the dead. Castle LeFay's defences were strong but the knights were able to break through the walls by blowing up their spaceship. Arthur duelled Mored through the castle and the fight spilled into Morgan's throne room where Merlin was held. Lancelot yelled to Arthur that Merlin's demonic magic and the Grail's holy power might react with each other and so Arthur threw Modred at Merlin. When the Grail armour touched Merlin it exploded with a burst of power, killing Modred instantly and shattering the armour.

Merlin accelerated the progress of Morgan's illness with his magic, causing great scabs to rise from her body. Desperately she crawled to reach a fragment of the Grail armour, but Merlin kicked it out of her reach and she seemingly died. The knights killed her remaining monsters and alien servants within the castle, but as they were preparing to return home Morgan returned to life, transformed by her illness into a hideous spider-like creature. She summoned her battle fleet to gather at the castle, a vast army that the knights could not hope to defeat. Arthur ordered Merlin to teleport the others to safety and, to end Morgan's danger once and for all, used Excalibur to split the atoms within a rock; setting off a nuclear explosion and sacrificing himself to kill Morgan and her army.
