Morgana was a sorceress who claimed to be the daughter of Morgaine Le Fay.
History
She's allegedly so powerful even Morgaine was afraid of her. According I-Ching, Morgana suffers from manic-depressive disorder: She can either be very nice or real mean-spirited.
Morgana came into conflict with Wonder Woman when a group of students performed a black magic spell and by chance they summoned Morgana. When one of them tried to send her back, Morgana transformed him into a frog. Then she wandered around the city, causing chaos to amuse herself: mesmerizing people, making things come to life... Her spells were mostly harmless but potentially disastrous, forcing Wonder Woman to stop her. Diana and Morgana fought for a while until the latter got bored and left of her own volition.
Several months later, Morgana was summoned back into the mortal plane by Wonder Woman and Supergirl. Kara Zor-El had run into a powerful mage called Zond and needed help to stop him. Having heard of the conflict between Diana and Morgana from Superman, Supergirl thought Morgana could help them out. Morgana wanted nothing to do with their troubles until the heroines mentioned Zond, her mother's stable hand who stole one of her magic books.
The trio headed off to confront Zond and his followers. Morgana shattered Zond's mask and stood aside as Supergirl beat him up. Supergirl turned Zond over to Morgana and the young witch teleported back to her own world after restoring the mind of one of the victims of Zond.

- This version of Morgana, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
