  • Mother Panic's story continues from Mother Panic #12.
  • The event continues from JLA/Doom Patrol Special #1 and is continued into Shade, the Changing Girl/Wonder Woman Special #1; however, the Milk storyline is concluded in Doom Patrol/JLA Special #1.

Trivia

• During his "origins" scene, the brainwashed Batman/Father Bruce states "Yes, father, I shall become a priest" which is a reference to the iconic Batman line, "Yes father I shall become a Bat", from Batman #404 during the Year One storyline.
• As Violet Paige leaves with Batman to fight Retconn, her clairvoyant mother, Rebecca, comments the "she will see her again" but implies that it will happen in different circumstances. This foreshadows Violet being time displaced in a near future in the epilogue of the Milk Wars.
• In the second story, October Impossible's lair being located in Antarctica is a nod to Karnak, Ozymandias' headquarters from Watchmen, that is also located in Antarctica.
