Arrowverse

In the Arrowverse Multiverse, the Nexus is an in-between dimension that connects the positive realities to the Antimatter Universe. After the Anti-Monitor was banished from the Multiverse, he had free access to the Nexus realm: its door became itself the gate to the Anti-Monitor's prison, being located under Central City on Earth-1. Here, the Anti-Monitor built and stored an antimatter cannon he had planned to use in order to erase every universe from existence.

On December 9th, 2019, Harrison Nash Wells discovered the existence of the Nexus' door and managed to free the Anti-Monitor from his cage and the Crisis began.[1] Later that day, Earth-1 Flash, Frost and Vibe also journeyed to the Nexus where they discovered that Earth-90 Flash, who was previously captured by the Anti-Monitor after ending up on the Antimatter Universe, was the power source of the cannon.

The heroes saved Earth-90 Flash but realized that the cannon was about to explode: Pariah/Nash Wells arrived just in time to travel to an alternate universe where he saved Black Lightning and brought him to the Nexus. Black Lightning slowed down the explosion enough to allow Earth-1 Flash to say goodbye to his team before sacrifing himself: however, Earth-90 Flash prevented him from doing so and took his place as the Flash who would have died in the Crisis.

As the other heroes left the Nexus, Earth-90 Barry Allen used his Speed Force powers to run on the Cosmic Treadmill and destroy the cannon, as well as damaging the Nexus itself.[2]

After the rebirth of the Multiverse, the Nexus was recreated, along with the other destroyed realities, so Nash Wells ensured that its door will never be opened again in the future.[3]
