Muto was a 30th Century super-brained mutant who was born on a spaceship that was temporarily transported into another dimension.

He was trapped by Superman XX, but he managed to escape and started a series of intergalactic crimes. During his crusade, he was confronted by another notorious criminal, Joker XX. When they realized that they have the same goals and the same enemy, they decided to work together and they managed to outmatch Superman on every occasion.

However, when Superman teamed-up with Batman XX, they were no match for both heroes and Muto was eventually captured by Superman, who forced Muto out of his hideout by destroying the entire place and used a special machine to nullify Muto's mental powers.[1]

  • This version of Muto, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
