Synopsis for "The Ones Who Fell to Earth, Part One"

Clark flashbacks to when he was a kid and would play in the snow, he believed the snow to be magical. How it would change adults into children (at least in personality), close down schools, and there was nothing more special than his first snowfall. Clark thinks more about snow and how crazy it is, meanwhile a machine breaks out of a facility containing it. Clark as Superman helps the people of Metropolis rebuild and demolish the giant Kaiju-like Parasite statue. Back at the Planet as Clark, Clark talks about how this is his first Christmas away from Ma and Pa Kent and that he's practically gonna be alone on Christmas. Steve, Cat, and Ronnie who are right next to him are trying to play it cool with Steve letting his personality out a little bit despite Cat and Ronnie telling him not to. Clark overhears them and asks what's going on to which Ronnie (much to the annoyance of Cat and Steve) thinks fast and tells Clark that they wanted to hear about Ma Kent's pies to which Clark begins going on about it.

Meanwhile Lois and Jimmy for the past few weeks have been putting together a plan to give Clark the best Christmas ever. Going so far as to make loud noises so he doesn't overhear them making the plans, the two want to make this Clark's best Christmas. Jimmy plans to pay for it when Flamebird finally sells when suddenly they hear noise, they go to check out the commotion and find that the Daily Planet is tilting. To allow Clark to change into Superman, Jimmy distracts everyone by telling them about underground sewer dinosaurs giving Clark enough time to change and save the planet. He notes palm marks on the place the planet seems to have fallen from and with Jimmy and Lois follows them into the sewer, he tells Jimmy and Lois they shouldn't follow him but they do so anyway. Clark then detects something and before they can tell him not to he runs off, despite telling them to stay behind, they follow after him while a mysterious figure follows them.

Superman gets to a certain spot where he sees hand-prints and then feels something coming towards him and catches it just in time. He sees that it's Parasite but it isn't Ivo, the two begin to battle with Superman at first telling Parasite to stop mistaking him for Ivo. Parasite does not stop and soon their battle comes to the surface, Superman realizes that Parasite isn't Ivo and tells the person in the Parasite armor to take the suit off. Parasite responds with gibberish that Superman does not understand, the U.S. Military gets in the way and Parasite immediately reacts absorbing some of Superman's power and trying to attack them. Superman blocks Parasite's heat vision and goes to attack Parasite when suddenly Parasite finally spouts out "Superman, help me", Superman stops but before Parasite can say anything else he is blasted down. Superman then meets Checkmate agent Robert DuBois.

Superman tells DuBois that Parasite spoke to him to which DuBois downplays his findings tell him that Parasite is an android who doesn't even have AI let alone speech synthesizers. Unbeknownst to either of them, Deathrstroke is watching and reports in that Cadmus was right and Checkmate is trying to usurp them. Superman asks DuBois for information but DuBois refuses to give it stating it's military business, DuBois tells Superman he is aware and reveals that him and his team found Lois and Jimmy before they could get into trouble. DuBois and Checkmate then leave and Lois and Jimmy ask Superman what happened, Superman simply tells them "I think I made a mistake".
