Merryman was the leader of the Inferior Five.
History
Myron Victor was the heir to a lineage of heroism, even though all he wanted to do was be a cartoonist. However, he was pressured by his parents, members of a retired superhero team called the Freedom Brigade, to join with the children of the other Brigade members to form a team. They became the Inferior Five, with Merryman acting the leader.
Bat-Mite found them battling Gridlock's men at the TV and Film Museum and decided to try and make them better by transforming them into the Superior Six, with him taking leadership from Myron. Merryman was transformed into Merrimack, being both powerful and intelligent. However, he and his fellow members became more aggressive and violent with their upgrades. After Dumb Bunny pleaded with Bat-Mite to change them back, Myron became aware of their corruption as well. In the end, Bat-Mite changed them all back to the Inferior Five.
Notes
- Merryman was created by E. Nelson Bridwell and Joe Orlando, first appearing in Showcase #62. However, Merryman first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Bat-Mite #5 by Dan Jurgens and Corin Howell.
