Its passenger, the alluring ensign Luanna Hellstrum, gains consciousness and says the Elizabeth were attacked by the Ho-Ak-Be'Erg. Soon the doctor and other crew are found dead – with two strange holes in their chests and drained of blood. Within 48 hours the only crew remaining are Captain Sonya Karamozova and Hellstrum! The captain aims the ship for the sun, but Hellstrum overrides the ship's controls, paralyzing the ship. She intends to leave the Captain to die – but Captain Karamozova tells Hellstrum that the ship is made of silver. Hellstrum cannot turn into mist and ride the void to her next victims.
