Synopsis for "Station MARS on the Air"
A Martian envoy to Earth flies through an ion storm and finds human civilisation destroyed. When they return to Mars, they see humanity's buildings and realise there must be a time-warp between the planets. Humans are initially hostile, but the scientist Professor Benson and his assistant Willis invent a telepathy machine to communicate with them. The Martians tell them of the epicentre of the disaster, which turns out to be Benson's own lab, and they stop a dangerous chemical from expanding before it can destroy all life.

Synopsis for "Rescue Squad of Tomorrow"
Aboard the rescue ship Polaris, Tom Clayton is a chef (a job which solely involves retrieving pills from a machine) and dreams of becoming an actual rescue operative one day. Over the course of a day, Tom is quizzed several times on what to do in an emergency, but fails simply because nobody's informed him of what technology the ship actually has.
Suddenly, the Polaris receives a destress call from Earth. The moon seems to be expanding and is going to explode, and none of the crew can figure out how to help except Tom, whose studies of primate pressure cookers allow him to know to dig trenches into the moon to reduce its pressure.
