Synopsis for "World War on Earth and Rann!"
Arriving on Rann once again, Adam Strange is greeted by Alanna and the two soon find a few people protesting Adam Strange. Alanna explains that they are just superstitious locals. Traveling to Ranagar, Adam is set to give out the annual award for scientist of the year, which is awarded to Akor Barth of Anathul for his radiation-detector device. One of the scientists watching the ceremony isn't happy with winning an award, but wants to take over the whole planet.
As the days go by, Adam and Alanna enjoy their time together, when they're dining in an ice-cave, it begins to melt. Investigating they find a giant magnifying glass device that is beaming down incredible heat upon the planet Rann. Finding their weapons have no effect on the device, Adam is suddenly transported back to Earth because the Zeta-Beam wears off.
On Earth he returns to his home to pass the time before the next Zeta-Beam arrives, turning on the radio he hears reports of a science wizard named Manlo Tallifa who has managed to build a device to bring weapons from the future into the present and is now waging war on Earth by causing World War 3.
Adam attempts to confront Manlo, but finds that the war devices he summons from the future are immune to his weapons as well, he then decices to retreat to meet up with the Zeta-Beam so he can return to Rann and solve the problem with the giant magnifier there. There Adam researches into finding out the different components that would be used to create the device, and then figures out who's been ordering the necessary parts. Tracking the mail delivery of the parts, they manage to capture the rogue scientist the next time he goes to pick up his mail and force him to deactivate his lens.
Adam then takes control of the device and holds onto it as the Zeta-Beam wears off so that it is brought with him to Earth. Adam then uses the devices to ward off Manlo's weapons and destroy his base. Adam crashes the lens and knocks out Manlo as he tries to escape. Adam then returns home, leaving Manlo to be arrested by the authorities.
