The Mod was an agent of Diablo, an organization that wanted to prevent the Teen Titans from regaining the memories of their earlier adventures.
History
Diablo
At some unknown point in the past Mod became an agent of Diablo, an organization that wanted to prevent Mister Twister's return. In order to accomplish this goal he tried to have the Titans eliminated so that they could not be used as pawns and after interrogating Karen Duncan he tried to shoot her but her powers suddently reactivated, causing her to blast Mod through a wall.[2]
Symphonee
At some point he took an online class in business and met fellow criminal Fiddler. They joined forces with Music Meister to create "Symphonee", an app to control young metahumans and force them to commit crimes.[3]

- Neil Richards was created by Bob Haney and Nick Cardy, first appearing in Teen Titans #7. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Neil Richards first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Titans Hunt #5 by Dan Abnett and Paulo Siqueira.
Trivia
- Whereas the original Mad Mod was based on the Mod culture of the 60s, the revamped version is inspired by a contemporary counterculture, Hipsters.
