Synopsis for "The Robot of Riga"
In a swamp near Metropolis surroundings, Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane are abducted by a Rigan starship, and taken to Planet Riga as prisioners. Jimmy uses his Signal Watch to call Superman, and the hero tracks the ultrassonic signal to Riga. Jimmy and Lois try to flee from a electrified cell when his jailer is bringing food, but the Rigans activate a giant, flame-breather robot to chase them. Superman comes just in time to fight the monstrous machine. In first, Superman is unable to make any harm in the robot: its metal shell is completely impervious. Nor Heat vision seems work. Superman watches the robot and looks for a weak point. Finally he discover one: the robot "mouth", from where its flames are expelled. Flying in high speed, the Man of Steel pass through the robot mouth and enter into its control room, causing a lot of internal damage to the circuits. The robot releases several sparks ("as on July 4th", says Lois Lane) and finally Superman throws the giant into a lake. Superman then takes Jimmy and Lois and flies them towards Earth.
