Synopsis for "The Daily Decision"

Eve Donner is stranded in a barren region of Apokolips after Darkseid's Omega Beam separated her from Lightray weeks ago. A Reflektorr, a monster of pure psychic energy, emerges from the shadows and attacks her. But just as she runs away, a Boom Tube opens and takes her to Earth. Little does she know that the monster followed her, disguised as her shadow.

In New Genesis, Highfather reproaches Orion's decision to infiltrate Darkseid's army, and Orion is not happy that his allegiance gets questioned. Lightray takes Orion to Earth, hoping he can learn something from humanity. But Orion chooses to be alone, and Lightray goes to meet Eve at her house.

Meanwhile, the Reflektorr that followed Eve starts haunting people, making them see their impossible fears.

After walking some time alone, Orion visits Dave Lincoln. They go to a bar and have coffee while discussing Orion's identity problems, but their psychology lesson gets interrupted by a man about to slay a woman in the alley. They rush to the scene, and Orion is eager to interfere using his strength, but David takes care of the situation and convinces the would-be killer to let the woman go. Orion is amazed by how his human friend solved the crisis without using violence.

In Eve's apartment, she confesses her love to Lightray, and they kiss, leaving part of his spirit into her soul. Suddenly, a television report of a monster causing panic interrupts them, and they head to the scene. The same report reaches Dave and Orion, who are also en route. Orion arrives first and faces the Reflektorr, and he sees it in the form of his true fear: himself.
