Synopsis for "The Source of the Beast!"

Darkseid and Orion fight in the Source. The effects of their battle are felt throughout the universe. On New Genesis, the Source pleads Highfather for help, writing its plea on Izaya's wall, and Metron goes insane upon sensing the Source's corruption.

Inside the Source, Darkseid persistently goads Orion into becoming more savage and ruthless. Without resisting, Orion gives in to Darkseid's provocations and lets all his rage loose. The two combatants become one with the Source, causing all of existence to feel their anger. Ultimately, Orion loses all control and slays Darkseid. Orion falls unconscious after the vicious battle, and his Mother Box activates a Boom Tube that spits him out of the Source, leaving him adrift in space.
