Synopsis for "Descent into Madness!"

The deranged and corrupted Lightray leads the Genesisians to war against the Primitives living below Super Town. Aarden and Sserpa of the Primitives confront Lightray himself until Highfather steps in to interrupt the battle and disable Lightray's bombs. Highfather tries to reason with him but realizes he can't rely on his sanity. So he goes to a place where insanity thrives: Earth.

Meanwhile, Mother Herrae discovers that the corruption of The Source threatens to awaken S'ivaa, the Old God known as the Destroyer of Worlds.

Highfather's quest to understand insanity takes him to Arkham Asylum, where he sees how humans treat the insane. The Riddler asks "when is a God not a God," and Highfather reflects on the answer: "when he hasn't created anything."

On Apokolips, Orion sees the population venerating Darkseid more than usual, despite his death. Suddenly, Granny Goodness' subjects fall down from a ship and overwhelm Orion.
