New Guardians (Volume 1) with a cover date of October, 1988.
Synopsis for "Blow in the Wind"
The New Guardians cope with the news of Jet and Harbinger possibly contracting AIDS from the Hemo-Goblin. They decide to take the battle right to its responsible: Janwillem Kroef. However, they are considered dangerous people, and the CIA denies them passage to South Africa in fear of causing an international incident. In return, they make a deal: the New Guardians take care of a drug lord known as Snowflame in Colombia and the CIA will investigate Kroef.
In the jungles of Nueva Granada, Colombia, the New Guardians encounter Snowflame, and RAM fights him one-on-one. Still, the drug lord defeats RAM and commands his men to surround and execute the New Guardians. But the Guardians, having sensed incoming danger, fake their deaths. They head to Snowflame's compound, where they easily get past the high lookouts. RAM and the drug lord fight a rematch, while Floro and Gloss take care of the crazed crowd under Snowflame's influence. In the end, RAM throws Snowflame to the chemical shed, which, ignited by Snowflame's fire, causes an explosion that kills the trafficker. While the Guardians revel on their victory and the locals thank them, Extraño ponders the question of how long he has left before dying.
