New Year's Evil: Prometheus #1 is a one-shot with a cover date of
Synopsis for "There Was a Crooked Man"
The Justice League hosts a contest to become an honorary member for a day and it is won by a young man calling himself Retro. Prometheus intercepts him before the ceremony to explain how he plans to invade the Watchtower and murder them all on camera. The son of criminals murdered by law enforcement, he has sworn a vow to fight justice and is beginning his quest with the JLA. His secret for getting to the JLA is to kill Retro and pose as a benign civilian, which the young man finds out too late.
