Nightshade is Eve Eden, a superhero with the ability to manipulate shadows. This includes the ability to transform into a living shadow, and the ability to travel through shadow portals. Her father is senator Warren Eden, her mother is Queen Reah of the mystical Land of the Nightshades, and her brother is the super-villain Incubus. She has been a member of the CBI, InterC.E.P.T., Jihad, Living Assault Weapons, Shadowpact, and Suicide Squad.
Nightshade was created by David Kaler and Steve Ditko, first appearing in the Charlton Comics publication Captain Atom #82 (1966).
