Nightwing (Volume 2) #68 is an issue of the series Nightwing (Volume 2) with a cover date of June, 2002. It was published on April 10, 2002.
Synopsis for "Time & Motion"
Alfred points a shotgun at an intruder in Wayne Manor, who turns out to be Nightwing, tryin to get in the Batcave from the grandfather clock entrance. However, he is unsuccessful because Bruce locked down the place and changed the security system. Alfred helps Nightwing get inside with a secret password of his own and both of them start looking for clues about any intruders inside the cave before the murder of Vesper Fairchild.
At that moment, Torque and Nite-Wing are discussing their next move after escaping Lockhaven. Torque wants to start a gang with Nite-Wing in order to control all the criminal activities in Bludhaven, but Nite-Wing doesn't like that idea since he wants to be a righteous avenger against crime and not a mob boss. They end up confronting each other and the fight ends with four gunshots, but the person who won the fight is undisclosed.
Alfred and Nightwing take a look at the Batcomputer's files and they find that there were three power outages prior to the murder of Vesper and that those events could have been used by whoever is responsible, to get inside the cave. Alfred also tells Nightwing that he found the house well cleaned, something that Bruce is not known for. They deduce that the person who got inside, tried his best to clean any evidence that he was there and that it's up to them to find any sort of clue in the cave and the house. Nightwing looks around the cave, even in the darkest corners and finds a destroyed microphone chip that doesn't belong to the cave. Nightwing decides to take the surveillance discs to get them searched for any inconsistency. Alfred suggests to take the discs to Oracle, but Nightwing decides that she has already enough to bear with and he takes them to Robin, who is worried about his dad taking their bankruptcy, but Nightwing tells him to have faith and to get the discs examined, while he is going to try to discover how did the intruder got inside the batcave for the first time by trying to break in himself.
Elsewhere, Hella interrogates a man without mercy and threatens him to burn him if he doesn't tell her what she wants to hear and in the end, the man tells her everything, even when Hella was bluffing all the time.
The next day, Dick infiltrates the GCPD Headquarters as a member of the Bludhaven Police and gets into the office of Detective Allen, looking for the files on the Bruce Wayne case, but he is almost caught by Allen and Montoya when they get back in the office. Dick gets out through the window but Allen notices the missing file.
