Synopsis for "Rough Justice"
Nightwing finally wants to find out who Blüdhaven's new crime-lord is. Thus, he fights himself through all of Angel Marin's closest associates. He defeats them all and them into a cold storage room. First, no one wants to talk about Marin's whereabouts or his successor. But in the end, Turk Fremunda who controls the Unions tells Dick about St. Anthony's church which is continuously guarded by three guns for hire. Shortly after that Nightwing checks out the area around the church and the guards, but does not try to enter the building.
Meanwhile, the police opens a barrel which is addressed to Chief Redhorn. Redhorn and Inspector Soames are onsite as the bomb squad discover the dead body of Angel Marin in it. His head is turned backwards and his body soaked in formaldehyde to obscure the time of his death. Redhorn is furious - recent developments are not to his liking and he wants Soames to take care of it. That includes the "vigilante" Nightwing.
After his shift in Hogan's Alley, Dick returns home and tries to get some sleep. Again he has some nightmares, but is woken up by Oracle who did some research for him. She found out that it may be a woman named Joyce Elizabeth Desmond who is hidden in St. Anthony's church. Dick recognizes the name and the relation to Roland Desmond aka Blockbuster. He immediately calls his friend Wally West who may have some news regarding Blockbuster. Indeed it was his protege Impulse who recently ran into the villain who may be more dangerous than ever. After a little more detective work, Nightwing discovers Blockbuster's hiding place. And he is not surprised to find Soames there as well ...
