Synopsis for "Fallen Grayson, Part Two"

Barbara and Damian lead the attendees at the fundraiser to the fire exits while Dick and Bruce hang back to help any stragglers. When the ballroom has been largely evacuated, Shelton Lyle runs up and tells Dick he can't find Gerald. Dick goes with Shelton to look for him while Bruce leads everyone else out. Tony Zucco, who is monitoring and controlling everything in the building from a hidden control room, deactivates the security cameras and injects a cocktail of aerosolised drugs into the fake smoke.

Dick finds Gerald seemingly collapsed on the floor, but when he reaches him, Gerald is revealed to be wearing a gas mask. Shelton, also wearing a gas mask, comes up and tells Dick the drugs he is inhaling will make him appear to have passed out from smoke inhalation and prevent him remembering anything. Dick tries to punch Shelton, but simply hurts his hand on Shelton's cyborg jaw. Shelton knocks Dick out and then he and Gerald carry Dick out, claiming that Dick pulled Gerald from some wreckage and then collapsed.

Two paramedics load Dick and Gerald into an ambulance and drive away, claiming they are taking him to Gotham General. In fact, they are working for Heartless, and pull into a nearby alley where they meet up with Shelton and Zucco. Shelton tells one of the "paramedics" to take Dick's cellphone, but when the man searches Dick he finds Nightwing's mask. Gerald immediately murders the two fake paramedics and tells Heartless that Dick's secret identity is a huge opportunity for them, but nobody else can know.

Dick wakes up groggy on a rooftop in Bludhaven. He sees a man lying face down nearby and goes over to check on him, but when he turns the man over he sees it is the reporter who questioned him at the fundraiser, and that the man has had his heart ripped out like Heartless' victims. He spot's Heartless' gun nearby and picks it up, and then suddenly a SWAT team burst onto the roof and order "Heartless" to surrender. Dick, who is revealed to be wearing Heartless' costume, attempts to flee but is unable to jump off the edge of the roof. The police shoot him in the shoulder and dogpile on him. One of them pulls off his mask, and announces that Heartless is Dick Grayson.
