Synopsis for "Knight Terrors, Part 1"

Dick Grayson sits in a coffee shop alone, ruminating on surviving a bullet wound to the head.. A masked gunman enters the cafe who Dick easily defeats.

Dick believes the gunshot is causing him to lose memories-and consequently- to lose his sense of identity. He takes up a job as a taxi driver in Bludhaven. Barbara Gordon comes to check in on him, but he can't remember any of their history together. Barbara goes to Batman, hoping he will help her make Dick come to his senses, but Batman believes it might be better for Dick to get a fresh start.

In the past, Robin stops Batman from acting too harsh in a fight against Scarecrow. In Arkham Asylum, Scarecrow is tortured by memories of Robin, The Boy Without Fear. He fakes a suicide in his cell in order to escape, in order to go on a vendetta against the boy wonder.

Back in the present, Dick burns all of his Nightwing costumes, vowing to start over from scratch.
