Weight Wizard was one of numerous 30th century heroes who was hunted down and incarcerated in the prison camp run by the alien criminal Nardo, who was rounding up all such heroes. At some point he secretly reached an agreement with Nardo to spy on the other inmates in exchange for lighter treatment. After his status as a mole was exposed by Brainiac 5, Weight Wizard tried to atone for his lack of courage by using his weight-manipulating power to make himself light enough to jump the prison camp's fence. However he fell prey to a giant carnivorous plant before he could reach help.

  • Density Control: He could alter his own weight from only an ounce to 1000 tons. He was seen making himself extremely light to become extremely agile.
  • This version of Nik Obershaw (Pre-Zero Hour) is no longer considered part of canon continuity. All history and corresponding appearances of Nik Obershaw (Pre-Zero Hour) were erased from continuity following the events of the 1994 limited series Zero Hour: Crisis in Time.
