Batgirl, real name Nissa, is a vigilante in Crown Point, a lower part of Gotham City.
History
Nissa
Nissa grew up in Crown Point, Gotham City. Coming to the conclusion that people didn't care about poor neighborhoods such as her own, she decided to don the mantle of "Batgirl" to fight for them herself. Suddenly, her neighbors started acting erratic and she believed someone was poisoning the water supply. During her investigation, she came across Commissioner Gordon amidst a riot and decided to help her. She expressed her concerns and theories to the commissioner, deciding to leave as more Gotham City Police Department officers arrived. She followed Gordon to Roake Corp, whom Barbara believed was behind the recent violence, saving her from their murderous security guards. Barbara then went up to the CEO's office with a warrant. He attacked her and Batgirl shocked him with a taser. Before he could even be taken into custody, his bail was posted by his business rivals. The next day, Nissa discovered a note in her locker from the commissioner, revealing she figured out Batgirl's secret identity.[1]

- Nissa's alter ego is never stated in-universe; when asked she replied "I was so sure it was obvious." She is; however, given the editorial name Batgirl Beyond.[1]
