Nora Fries (née Smithy) was the terminally ill wife of Victor Fries, and his main motivation for becoming a supervillain.
History
Nora was diagnosed with a terminal illness and during the last stages, Victor used cryogenic technology to stop the illness and kept Nora alive but in a constant coma until he found a cure. However, Victor's experiments were sabotaged by Ferris Boyle and Victor's research for a cure for Nora stopped as he was transformed into the vengeful Mister Freeze.[1]
