The Nuclear Family were a group of androids who are designed to function as a stereotypical 1950s family.
History
After a nuclear war caused society to collapse, they set up home in a theme park. Soon, however, their vastly out-of-date hardware began to malfunction, and Dad realized that Christmas would be their last. They attempted to kidnap Firestorm to use him as a nuclear weapon in order to go out with a literal bang, but the fiery hero escaped. Realizing the Family just wanted to not have to die separately, the hero treated them to one last Christmas dinner, before expertly draining all their power at once so they all powered down together.
