Nytemayr is a demon lord from Hell.

History

When an innocent soul from Heaven, Lyndon P. Baynes goes to Hell by mistake, the Angels claim him back, but the Demons refuse to return him to his rightful place. So the angel Malazel asks Lobo and Etrigan to rescue him. In Hell, while Lobo fights the demons, his damaged spacehog malfunctions and flies off on its own, hitting Lord Nytemayr, who captures and holds them in revenge.

The Lord watches with pleasure as they are pitted against one another, trapped within the illusion of his Sphere of a Thousand Nightmares. The soul of Baynes scolds the demon lord for this and appeals to Nytemayr to embrace the good. Baynes signals his choir of demon converts to sing, requesting the Lord to join them. Nytemayr's evil nature is disgusted by the singing, and he tries to banish the "bad influence" to the nightmare realm also, but Baynes is protected by the power of good, making Nytemayr's magic ineffectual.

Nytemayr was then compelled by Bynes to join in the chorus, though mentioning he is off-key. The singing is interrupted with the crash of broken glass as Lobo and Etrigan break their way out of the Sphere, taking Bynes back. Nytemayr then watches with relief as the animosity of Hell is restored.
