O.B. Williams was the father of Will Reeves and the great-grandfather of Angela Abar.
History
O.B. Williams was born in Louisiana in 1891. [1]
O.B. was a member of the United States Army and served a tour in Germany during World War I. It was at this time he received a flyer from the German military pointing out the ironic racial injustice people of color received in the US military, encouraging them to defect to Germany.
O.B. returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after the war and married his childhood sweetheart Ruth Robeson and together they had one son named Will. They were present for the 1921 Tulsa race massacre in which a mob of white residents ambushed prosperous black civilians for the color of their skin.
Though O.B. and his wife Ruth managed to get their son to safety, they were both killed in an explosion during the massacre.
