The Oblivion Stone is reality-warping stone that, according to the legend, is able to "alter any aspect of the possessor's life" by merging its two pieces together and use its magical powers. Its existence was kept hidden from most of the universe that even the intergalactic conqueror, Mongul, believed it to be just a "rumor".[1]

Some time after the Rebirth, a human Hank Henshaw, who still remembered the Pre-Flashpoint continuity, came into possession of a piece of the Oblivione Stone. Eventually, he and his Superman Revenge Squad assaulted the Fortress of Solitude where Superman kept the other half of the Oblivion Stone hidden and took it away.

Later, Mongul tried to steal both pieces from Henshaw but the Eradicator stopped him and allowed Henshaw to use the Stone's magical properties and become the Cyborg Superman once again.[1]

Oblivion Stone in the Arrowverse

In the Arrowverse Multiverse, the Oblivion Stone is able to merge the residents of Superman's universe with their Inverse World counterparts and the Stone is divided between the two realities. The Ally Allston of the Inverse World came into possession of her world's Oblivion Stone piece and planned to combine it with his other half in order to merge herself with her Superman's world counterpart.

However, the Superman of her world stole it and traveled to Superman's universe to stop Allston's masterplan. However, the Ally Allston of Superman's world and her cult managed to come into possession of both pieces and, after traveling to the Inverse World, combined them together to recreate the Oblivion Stone. The Allstons used the Stone to become a single, higher being but failed to merge Jon Kent and Jon-El.[2]

The Oblivion Stone was eventually destroyed by Superman and Tal-Rho's combined heat visions.[3]
