Ocean Mother (Last 52 Multiverse)

The Ocean Mother is a counterpart of Queen Atlanna from the Last 52 Multiverse where she is a cold-heart ruler who conquered the planet along with her son, Arthur.

History

On her home reality, Atlanna was the ruthless Queen of Atlantis who came to be known as the Ocean Mother. She had a son, Arthur, who was forged by his mother to be a cruel king, a true champion of the ocean according to her words.

During the last stand of Earth 0's resistance against the Darkest Knight, the Ocean Mother was recruited to be part of his Dark army, along with the other Last 52 villains.

Ocean Mother, riding on a Kraken, faced Aquaman, Mera, Aqualad and the Ocean Master, recognizing them as their "sons", and defeated them all with her abilities and her "pet's" assistance. However, she was suddenly attacked by a trio of Amazons, Donna Troy, Artemis and Queen Hippolyta. After being mocked about her bad parenting, the Ocean Mother was overwhelmed by the three Amazons' combined strength.^[1]

Atlantean Physiology: The Atlanteans are offshoots of humanity that are biologically adapted to the deep ocean environment. All their abilities are by-products of their bodies being adapted to survive unprotected in the tremendous pressures of the ocean depths.

The Ocean Mother is heavily inspired by the Ocean Master, wearing an armor almost equal to his and using a Trident, as main weapon, like him.

Trivia

It is unknown if Ocean Mother survived the battle against the Amazons or if she vanished from existence, following the destruction of the Last 52 Multiverse and the restoration of the main Multiverse.
As she recognized the Aquaman Family as her "sons", there may also exist, on her home reality, counterparts of Orm Marius, Mera, Jackson Hyde alongside Aquaman.
